Anyway, hope everyone’s Monday is moving along swingingly, and it looks as if the rain 🌧️and the thunderstorms have moved on. I am not sure how often I stated categorically that I would stop getting more plants. So far I have not been successful! Although space is at a premium. I have this terrible habit of sleep-shopping. When I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t go back to sleep. I go on line and somehow find cacti that in my semi awake state I think need. And somehow I ended up with six, yes (6) new cacti in the last week. Today a super interesting specimen arrived. The Leuchtenbergia Principis, then there’s the Echinocereus Rigidissimus, then the more common Notocactus Ritterianus, the Euphorbia Obesa, and lastly there’s the Monadenium Ritchiei.
And those are the latest additions to the oasis. I am hoping for a while. I still have to repot the Desert rose to a bigger pot, the roots are emerging from the drainage hole! But that‘ll have to wait until tomorrow. On that note I’m off to see if I can find something to eat. Eating is so overrated, I hate cooking but I can handle a quick salad! You all have a wonderful evening and stay safe!

@Preciousplants1 Sherri what is the one in the 2nd picture. They are so pretty. I have no excuses I’m wide awake when I shop I want to enjoy every second of the selection and purchase process. And love the ultimate high when I get home and the box is outside my door 🥳🎉🎊🎍

I have been thinking about getting a Desert Rose. These Cactuses have some very interesting names too. Hi everyone! Good to see you- especially a few I haven’t seen in a while 😊 all of your plants are just beautiful! Sleep shopping- check. Got one coming - a Shanghai La pothos. Like the 3 I already have aren’t enough? lol last sleep shop was a tornado dracaena and 4 rosette snake plants. I keep saying no more plants- but I can’t help it. 🤭

@SweetAzurebluet you always have some of the most beautiful plants. I had a peperomia but it didn’t make it😢. I’ve been thinking about another one but that was a had one for me to keep

@RefinedSandwort this little guy freaked me out because it was SO fast….i had a 10’ Colombian Red Tail Boa so I’m not afraid (unless it rattles lol)- and I was scared Lucie would get it…Lucie is our English Bulldog that’s been diagnosed with…Autism. And she does not feel pain. She was bitten by a scorpion and not one little cry. We’ve never heard her cry, and she just turned 4.

@Preciousplants1 yes! We’re having this weird little cold front today, and then back into the 100s. It’s also super smoky from all of the wildfires- not that I want to be outside anyway!
@Ms.Persnickety 👋 I wasn’t on Greg much yesterday, so very late to #TheWateringHole party ⏰ 🤪 but here to say I love all your different sleep shopping cacti 🌵! Most I’ve never heard of, I only have a few true cacti. And they’re outside - too afraid of the spikes 😳. My husband acquired a cholla cactus years ago…it’s not called jumping cactus for no reason!! Anyway , no sleep shopping 🛌 for me 👎🚫🙅♀️. That would be a slippery slope if I started that💸💸💸🤑.

@Preciousplants1 if you do decide to get another one, always bottom water it and wait until the soil dries up a bit. Usually their leaves will tell the story! 😉 I hope you try out another Peperomia! 😉
@SillyPlantGirl thanks much, I got my Dracaena from Bloomscape, it was the first plant company on line, I started out with. I have always wanted a floor plant…..well I got one and she has been growing ever since day 1.
@SweetAzurebluet we’re supposed to get up to 100• today. Most of my outside plants couldn’t take the direct sunlight heat n kinda dried out. 👎🏽 I do have a few survivors . Blessings to you
@FitBrowallia thank you 😊but I only have a couple more than a year old: the thrips back in February killed just about every thing. So I’ve been rebuilding 👍🏽💔
@Preciousplants1 whatcha saved it still pretty. At lot of mine are less than a year old. Don’t knock yourself you’re doing a great job and your babies show it
@FitBrowallia thanks much, but there are some plants, who I couldn’t grow to save my life, and some I just guess. Prayer plants, dieffenbachia, Alocasias, and Monsteras doesn’t cut it for me!
