Experimenting with banana peel water for propagation
Doing some #ScienceWithGreg and using banana peel water in my #PropagationStation. I let the banana peels sit in jars for a few days with freshwater. Then poured them directly into my propagation tubes. Iโm using a fresh cutting of #StringOfDolphins and #ChineseMoneyPlant to hopefully be able to share at @jaysjungleโs meet up on the 17th! #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #sharingiscaring #NorthTexasGregGang
@RavenBlair2022 very interesting. Keep us updated.
@JungleLady505 Iโm excited to see how it goes. I did the rice water once but wasnโt consistent with it. I feel the bananas I can do more often because my little one eats bananas for breakfast. So I just throw the peel in a jar and keep it. @sarahsalith to be honest, Iโm not 100% sure. Iโm going to do a little more research. I was trying to find something different to use that I had around the house instead of plain water. Iโve been reading a lot about pathos water but I just got my first pathos yesterday. I donโt have enough to propagate that yet. @PlantsRTherapy thank you for being excited with me. Iโll for sure keep yโall posted.
So, u just soak the banana peel in a jar of water for a few (2 or 3) days and then after use that water in your prop cups .. and then just add your clippings?
. interesting I have never heard of this before.
Are y able to include me in ur updates? I want to know if u should try this as well or not
Thank you
