A client gave me some cuttings from his dieffenbachia. They were pretty thin. But I rooted them in water for a few weeks until they got some sturdy roots. I finally put them into soil yesterday. Here’s to hoping that they will grow big and strong like their big brother Dieter.

@DaringColtsfoot I put them in soil yesterday. They’re in the photo.
I heard you can dissolve an aspirin in 1 liter of water spray a little at base in dirt and it perks them up. I did my peace lily and it worked!!
@IconTule35 Thanks
I’ll give it a go
Iam stupid scrolling down

Lol
@DanDeLiΓ³n Great job rooting! Dieffenbachia’s are very fast growing and adaptable. I’m sure it will do great.
@DanDeLiΓ³n that’s awesome! I’ve split my dieffenbachias but it’s one plant I’ve never tried to root from cuttings. Make sure to give your plant plenty of bright but indirect light as well as plenty of humidity. It will take some time for your roots to settle in but it looks like you are on your way to having a large healthy plant! Congrats! Here are just a few of mine
@Shells_Garden I have a larger one, Dieter, who I grew from a cutting. It was really easy to root in water! It’s huge now! πŸ˜…

@Shells_Garden Yours are beautiful btw 😍
I read that if you have a puny plant dissolve 1 aspirin in 1 liter of water and give it a drink you will see a bounce back but dont over water
