I’ve been placing this nanouk in water to propagate roots...

I’ve been placing this nanouk in water to propagate roots for 2-3 weeks now and nothing happens. How do I save it???

Hi Kayla, it doesn't look like you have a node in the water?
@LadySugarvine @Planterella yes! I think Sue hit the nail on the head. It looks like the node is here, below that leaf! Do you by chance have any moss? If not it’s okay! You can try removing that big leaf, chop some of the base stem back a bit to prevent rotting then top off your prop jar to fill the water above the node trying not to submerge the leaves remaining :) best of luck! Let us know if you have any questions! 🌱✨
You also need to change the water weekly…
@Prentyce I realllllly wanted to avoid chopping the big leaf off but definitely will it’s going to die eventually. Do they propagate better in moss??
@Prentyce where would you chop the stem?
@Planterella then yes yes yes moss!!! You it cut just below this line and see if the discoloration on the stem is also in the center. If it is, chop a little again until it disappears. If not, it’s okay to stop chopping the stem :) for moss let’s try and keep the moss damp, not wet and with a lid or covering. :) best of luck!!
@Planterella if you place it gently in the moss to keep the airflow nice for new roots! And you keep it damp in the sunny window with a covering!! You’ll likely get both nodes to grow roots!! (Ideally they both will🀩)
@Prentyce what kind of moss??
@Planterella I have sphagnum! That’s typically what’s in store, sometimes it’s called orchid moss? Do you have any handy? They have tons online too! I think I got a bag for $4 at Lowe’s :)
