My first Coleus. Since I got it (yesterday) I've noticed that there are many patterns and varieties.
I may go off the deep end here... trying to restrain but I feel many adoptions in the days to come.
Variety folks, variety! 🤣 #veriety #coleus #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy

@PlantMedusa
Thank you!
I see you are close, so our weather is much the same. Being my first I have a question. Do you bring yours in for the winter months? And do you put them under grow lights or close to a window?
Thank you!

This is actually my first year growing coleus, so I haven't gone through a full winter with them yet. I didn't get mine until a couple of months ago, and they're planted in the same pot as my Black Coral Elephant Ears. I do bring my elephant ears inside for the winter because our winters can be so unpredictable. One year we get snow in the South, and the next year it's mild. I usually keep them in my garage. I don't use grow lights right now while they're outside, but once I bring them in for the winter, they'll definitely be under a grow light. I'm planning to do the same with my coleus and see how they do.

@WormWarriorFarm 🤭 So it begins!! 😄 Your coleus is beautiful 🤩 Just make sure to take deep breaths in between 😮💨 and inspect all new plants thoroughly for pests/disease. Pests 🦟 can be the ultimate inspiration un-aliver 😅
@DreamMachine
There you are! 😊
Thank you. Yes I will definitely inspect them all.
I just bought another lol. It's a Pothos though. Very bright lime color 🍋🟩. I'll post that one this evening or tomorrow.
Good to see you 😉

Yes, our winters are very unpredictable to say the least. I'm up in Lafayette and I think you guys ended up with more snow this past season than we did 😂.

What a beauty!
What a beauty!
Mine is blooming. I didn’t realize they got flowers! #Coleus
@MimiGreenthumb
Hey Missy they do bloom but I was told to pinch them off to get a more bushy Coleus. He said the blooms weren't very impressive and only takes away from growth ..? I don't know...it's just what I was to by another grower.

@WormWarriorFarm good to know! Maybe I will pinch them back, is it too late if they have already bloomed? I am glad I got to see their bloom though, it’s pretty!
@MimiGreenthumb
It's not too late. Pinch them off and watch her grow. 😉
