So, this is not a plant, it's a newly adopted pup named Winter. I had to share.

She's a 3 year old Akbash, Livesock Guardian Dog. She gets along with miss Roxy my other pup, all my chickens and cats. She's a great addition to our family and I love her already! 🩷

WOW, that is going to be one giant guard dog when fully grown. Those paws 🐾 are huge! She looks like a gentle soul.
She’s gorgeous!! 💜🥰
@SuperbRaspfern

I love her!
Roxy's new best friend. She now has someone to play with.

What an awesome 👌 addition to your family, dear Shannon ❤️ 😘
🥰 beautiful
This is my fur baby my lil lady Mikko
@NikkiBplantmom Awe! 🥰 What a cutie!!!
She is beautiful!! 😍 I can see her gentle soul. Thank you for sharing her and congratulations on your new addition!
@Ms.Persnickety Yes she is!!! She's perfect, Akbash are from Turkey where they are used to protect sheep flock from wolves.

She's so gentle with all of my animals. Yet, I have no doubt that when coyotes pass through she can chase them off with no issues what so ever. They are quite protective of their territory and great at sensing dangers. Since we have tons of coyotes and occasionally mountain lions. She will deter them from crossing our fences. We've had her a little over a week and finalized the adoption on Thursday. 🩷
@BabeVila She is like a big marshmallow and always puts her giant head in our laps for pets.
@CutePolypremum Thanks Joanie, Roxy was a bit cautious at first because she's so big. But now she knows she won't hurt her and they are besties. In fact if Roxy barks she looks right over at Winter for backup. 🩷
@SuperbRaspfern especially with that face in your first picture—she looks like she’s found paradise 🥹 I am so happy to hear she is officially adopted, and youve found a wonderful soul and lifelong companion and protector 🥰😭 ♥️🫶✨
@NikkiBplantmom Mikko is so cute!! 🥰
@DreamMachine Shee seems quite happy and content. Like she finally found her happy place. 🩷
She’s beautiful! A friend of mine who owned a horse ranch down here had 2 Great Pyrenees that were amazing at just that job - keeping the coyotes out!! 🙌👍
She’s beautiful! But is there a doggie site that you could share about your new found love of your beautiful pet? I just feel like once one person starts sharing about animals, others will follow. Since this is a forum for plants, could we stick to wonderful success stories about our new found love of growing with the help of this site? Just asking. I mean no hardship.
@MeekDeergrass16 , @SuperbRaspfern goes out of her way to help everyone in our community with their plant issues, taking time out of her busy schedule and full life to jump in and help at the drop of a hat. We all are absolutely indebted to her for sharing her vast knowledge with us, never expecting anything in return. As you can see by everyone’s enthusiastic response to her post, we love her! I just scroll past posts that don’t interest me, maybe that might be a helpful practice for you too? I mean no harm with my response to you, I just wanted to give you some context.
@SuperbRaspfern She’s beautiful Shannon! Welcome Roxy to the #PetsOfGreg ! 😍
Beautiful pup!
@MariansOasis Yep, beautiful animals that know their jobs intuitively. They are amazing!
@MeekDeergrass16 Welcome to Greg Barbara! If you’d like to focus on certain topics, I’d suggest joining some hashtags that interest you. I see you have a Snake Plant, so maybe #Sansevieria and #SnakePlant for a start. Then those posts will come up first for you. And as @MamaLinne said, just scroll on by those that don’t interest you 👍🏻
@MeekDeergrass16 @DrWillGreen Wow Will cranky much! Ahem... a lot of judgement here for some who don't know me!! 😂 You must be new here! Welcome, we are all friends here and we like to share about plants, animals and each others lives. Yes we connect and help with plants. For sure, but it's more than that many of us are like family who have grown to love each other as people.

Stick around and I'm sure you too will find a community that supports and loves each other in all aspects of our live.

P.S. your always welcome to skip any posts you don't like. 🩷🩷🩷

Some of my plant babies, see it's not just dogs!
@MamaLinne Awe! Thanks Deb you're making me blush. 😊 Love everyone here so very much! 🩷🩷🩷
@debbiedo thank you for the Hashtag.
@SuperbRaspfern OMG that window sill behind your sink is AMAZING for seedlings! 🤩
@DrWillGreen Seriously Will!! Who pissed in your Cheerios this morning!!! I have done nothing to insult or hurt you! You seem quite rude and mean. I'm not sure what your problem is. I won't block you just in case you need my help someday.

But, feel free to block me if you want. I really don't like to hear such rudeness. It's totally uncalled for.

We try to be nice and respect each other opinions on here. You'll meet very wonderful people on here if you try that approach.

Hopefully, we just got off on the wrong foot. But please don't EVER speak to me that way again!

You know nothing about me or who I am as a person. Yet you judge and are downright rude.
@debbiedo Thanks Deb. Sorry about my rants above!! 😢 I was a bit offended. I'll go pull some weeds to get my frustration out.

And yes my windows are the best I have really big window on the East, SouthEast, South sides of my home so the seeds are in my Southeast side and look how much they have grown. The plant room has South, East as well so they all are in their happy places and growing so well.

See how big they are getting. We are finishing out the drip system today and I should have many in the ground soon.

I'm quite excited about this years garden.
@DrWillGreen Good, I'm glad I hope Greg read through the entire post. 😂
@SuperbRaspfern just ignore. This person has been inserting themselves into people’s posts and belittling, gaslighting, hurting, and just generally causing a poisonous vibe about the app. I’ve chosen to not interact because they seem to get off on this behavior and these types of interactions. I’m so sorry it happened to you! 💜
@MamaLinne Thanks Deb, I will ignore now. So weird how some people do that. 🩷
@SuperbRaspfern Your weeds won’t know what hit them! 💪🏻 And I’m looking forward to lots of garden updates!
What a beautiful pup 🐶
@DrWillGreen You are wrong pets are a part of this community ! You sound like someone who is clearly jealous of @SuperbRaspfern ‘s wonderful advice . I’d suggest you not come on the forum anymore if you don’t like what she h s to say. To my knowledge you are only the third person in almost three years here that loves drama.
@DrWillGreen @MamaLinne @SuperbRaspfern

Awwww doc...

There's always a party pooper
@MamaLinne @SuperbRaspfern

Howdy my pretties! 😍😍

Well said. I couldn't agree with you more.

This person always recommends Google and AI only... 😐😑😶🤔
@MamaLinne nice one Deb! @MeekDeergrass16 we are a tight knit community here that shares our joy not only in nurturing plants, but others that need nurturing too. Scroll past if you don’t delight in animals like we all do. @SuperbRaspfern yes, this is a strange one, seems to only delight in causing hardship. We’ll have to step in when non-useful or dangerous misinformation is passed around but ignoring seems the best option.
@DrWillGreen girlypop cry me a river lmao
@DrWillGreen very tysm 😚😛
Wow, looks like I missed a lot! I’m sorry your lovely post sharing happy news with all of us in your Plant Fam seems to have been invaded by negativity. I’ve shared my pets before, too, as have lots of people—it’s why there are very popular hashtags like #PetsOfGreg and #PetsAndPlants. They existed before I even joined in 2023 or 24 (I can’t remember what year). Both have lots of members, so clearly many people enjoy pet photos from time to time. Of course, it would be annoying if the app turned into mostly non-plant posts, but I’ve never seen anyone take advantage or go overboard, and I’m sure if they did, the team would address it if it became a problem.

Everyone above is right, we are a community and many of us have grown to truly care for each other, bonding through our love of plants, but deeper into our humanity. Shannon @SuperbRaspfern has selflessly helped me through a terrible thrips infestation and even sent me the products I needed to get rid of them! That is how wonderful she is and she walked me through every step until they were gone! I’ll never forget her kindness when she didn’t even know me! ♥️♥️♥️ It’s exactly what I love so much about this community. Over every other plant community I’ve seen or been a part of, the people here are kind, supportive and we really bond. I love all of you 🥰 and your 🪴 and 🐕🐈‍⬛🐢🐠 etc! Here are some work-in-progress pics of my new plant setup after moving. Still putting up lights and deciding on placement! And here are my babies happy in their new home 🤗
@BabeVila Everything’s looking so great Shannon! 🙌 Your Peperomia is absolutely AMAZING! 😍
@BabeVila

Good morning dear Shannon ♥️

Thanks for sharing your feelings about what Greg is and what this app means to us.

We are family...
