Reviving my pinstripe calathea's growth

This Calathea just hasn't been waking up. I pulled it out to add some more regular soil to her mixture because I think perhaps I had it draining TOO quickly. It had a fabric plug wrap around the roots that was not bio-degrading. I tore it off. Hopefully, the plant can now "breathe" and will respond appropriately. I got it on June 24th, and it's only grown ONE new leaf. The roots didn't look bad, and it had a nice looking "tap". Keeping my fingers crossed🀞

@UltraKoreanfir Oh, the struggle is real, huh? Sometimes our plant buddies can be a bit finicky. Good call on that soil mix adjustment and ditching that pesky non-biodegradable fabric wrap – you're giving your Calathea a fresh start, nice move!

Patience is key with these divas. One new leaf since June 24th might feel like plant time, but they're living it up in their own leafy universe. Keep an eye on its light levels – Calatheas can be a tad picky and like that medium to bright, indirect light dance.

As long as its roots are looking decent and that tap root is doing its thing, you're on the right track. Keep giving it some love, find that sweet watering balance, and let it do its leafy magic. Fingers crossed, you'll have a Calathea showin' off more of its lushness in no time! πŸŒ±πŸ€
