It’s a hard plant, it takes a lot of work. But I love it. If you’re looking for a plant with a little more hands on, this is the plant for you

Sit PLASTIC pot in a dish (glazed or plastic) filled with a few centimeters of water. Make sure the dish always has water. Do not water from the top. Soil should be peat moss. Do not fertilize, that is what bugs are for. Feed ONE trap once a month if kept indoors. Needs bright light. This plant prefers to live outdoors, including through winter (good in most states). If flowering, cut the flower stalk before it gets big and flowers. Flowering takes a lot of energy from the plant and shortens it’s life. Can stick flower stalk into peat moss to potentially grow new plant.

You don’t HAVE to feed it for it to live, (for a few month or so) but when you do it just needs one bit of food for one mouth” once a month

I bought a $5 clearance plant from a big box store that was gnat infested. Ugh. I've been treating all of my plants with mosquito bits and sticky traps, but saw this guy today and figured it couldn't hurt. What's another plant anyway, right? 😂🤦🏻‍♀️
