I can’t really say much on it yet, but my mom got this polka for me for Valentine’s Day from the grocery store, and it was so mistreated, 75% of the growth came off, it was so root bound, and moldy. But it has bounced back!!

This isn’t a review of a polka dot plant as much as a terrarium set-up.
Mine contains two polka dot plants and one nerve plant. They are small! A few penny sized leaves on tiny stems.
First off, planting a terrarium is hard! You have to layer your rocks, moss and soil, and then there is little room for your hands to plant the actual plants. It’s hard to reach certain spots and control what you’re doing.
That said my little guys seem to be happy. They perked up and I can see new leaves popping up.
I can foresee an issue coming up pretty fast though, which is that the plants will likely outgrow their terrarium pretty fast if they thrive!

I love my polka dot plant, even though it’s a bit temperamental. It gets droopy if it’s too thirsty, but misting throughout the day really helps. I’ve even seen a few purple blooms!

if i miss one day of watering, the leaves fall very fast but as soon as i water it again they go back to normal

Not sure how or why this plant is still hanging on. It certainly hasn’t grown lush and beautiful. I gave it 3 stars because others have managed to make it thrive. I’ve just recently repotted it and gave it a name, hoping it will feel its part of the family.

This plant is so pretty. Make sure to pinch off the top two leaves every week to get more bushy growth and less of the leggy look. I’m going to propagate her soon to help fill her out a little more as well!

I received this plant as a gift, so he was already mature. This is the first time I have taken care of a plant and succeeded. I would recommend for first timers.

I just love the colorful leaves on this plant! It can be a bit dramatic when it needs watering, but it always perks right up! Just make sure to keep it pruned so it stays full.
