How to fertilize Beefsteak Plant
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Beefsteak Plant after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

First time plant owner and got one of these because I was told it was easy to care for and it’s outside. Is that the best place for it or should I bring it inside? It’s in shade on a windowsill with a Purple Heart and a Heart of Jesus.

VERY sad iresine… How do I keep her happy/help bounce back Hey guys, I just returned from a camping trip to find my bloodleaf clinging to life. I don’t think it got water while I was away, and it was tucked under the patio so it started searching for light. It is now sadder than ever. Anybody who has this type of plant, how do you keep it happy?? I cannot figure out what this plant wants for the life of me😅 it didn’t look this bad before the trip but definitely still wasn’t thriving. #Bloodleaf #BeefsteakPlant #Iresine #SadPlant #OutdoorGrowing Edited to add 3 photos of before I went away, she may also have pests as I’m yet to figure out what’s causing this fuzz (haven’t seen any mealys yet surprisingly, but very wary) I’ve been spraying leaves&stems with water weekly(ish) just in case.

Beefsteak Begonia Propogation transfer help! I have just done a pretty big Beefsteak Begonia trim and am looking to end up with around 10 new babies. The ones in this images have several roots and I am getting ready to transfer over to new drainage pots. This is my first time propagating this plant so any advice would be great. 2 specific questions I have are: 1. Should I leave the momma plant intact once I transfer from the water to the soil? Some of them have leaves that are healthy and some have leaves that are dying but there are roots. 2. The ones that are just stem cuttings have new babies growing. Is it ok for the new babies to be covered in soil once I transfer? #PropagationStation #NewGrowth #PlantAddict #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #BeefsteakPlant
