These peace lilies bounce back quickly! There was one at my office before and it would survive weeks of being forgotten and come back after a few pitchers of water. I received my own last month when my grandmother passed and it had no blooms/flowers. It now has 4 and 4 new leaves! It’s looks really good. I leave it outside for part of the day to get direct sunlight.

It’s very easy to tell when they need water: they get very droopy. Don’t work though: within about 6 hours of a good watering, they perk back up! Make sure to water with a large amount each time you water, as opposed to a little bit of water daily.

With my brown thumb, I have been very surprised this hardy peace lily has survived seven years with me. That’s a personal record! If I forget to water her, the leaves droop to remind me. A nice big drink of water and she perks right up. Leaving for a vacation and nobody to water her? No worries. In the words of Gloria Gaynor, “I will survive.”

literally the most dramatic plant i own, if i don’t water it on time she wilts likes she’s dying, but other than her dramatics she’s a gorgeous plant and she has the most beautiful leaves, very tropical and very pretty to look at

so far my peace lily is doing alright! the only thing is that she is SO dramatic - i didn’t give her water at the right time and she completely drooped and looked dead, then i watered her and she was perked up like normal! lol, she’s doing fine tho !

Much has been written about the Peace Lily. Did you know that it was named after the white flag that’s raised to symbolize peace? Make sure your peace Lily gets adequate light if you hope to have it bloom again.

Super easy to care for and recovers well if you forget to water and it gets too dry. Propagates itself easily, requires dividing after a while or the pot gets crowded. My go-to for teaching people to take care of plants.

A bit of a drama queen, leaves wilt when she needs water, but it springs right back a few hours after watering.
Flowers are beautiful and last for a good while. Overall, easy to care for and a nice addition to the plant family

This plant is great for beginners! They are so forgiving, but you do need to use distilled water or let tap water sit out for 24 hours, but I highly recommend for new plant parents!
