I initially was never interested in owning a Monstera for whatever reason, but one day i was doing a little retail therapy online and decided to order one along with some other plant friends and I was immediately in love. I was on a hanging plant kick for a while and had just started to purchase plants that grew vertically and my Monstera really scratched that itch. I got my first fenestrated leaf a few weeks ago and i was PUMPED about it. My cat has absolutely already eaten a small leaf or two because (if you’ve seen my other plant reviews, we know this) he’s an asshole, but honestly it was for the better because it gave Denali the chance to push our bigger growth! So whatever, thanks I guess? I think I’m gonna stake it soon, very excited! All in all I love this plant a lot.

This plant is by far the easiest to take care of. Easy to manage in terms of watering and it seems to be more drought resistant then I anticipated. Mine really starting growing after I added in a pole! It pops out new leaves constantly!

monsteras need plenty of sunlight if you want them ti grow adequately. mine lives in the shade and only grew one leaf since buying (6 months ago) and it was very yellow and limp. also he was infested with springtails due to humid conditions. although he survived all this and still looks very happy

What’s there not to love? This is my Queen right here. I bought it as a small 6” seedling this past December (2020) & with loads of sun light (& help of a grow light) along with regular waterings, this beauty has nearly quadrupled in size 🤯. The leaves are ENORMOUS & it’s only been 5 months. I honestly have to say I wasn’t prepared for her size! I’m not sure where to put her next.
I purposely bought it as seedling in order to learn & grow with the plant. I didn’t want to waste money on a large plant only to accidentally kill it. I did my research & made sure to live by its Laws. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! (Helloooo fenestrations! 🙌🏽)
YES! I would absolutely recommend this plant but just make sure you have the right light conditions & more important, the SPACE! This baby practically grows right before your eyes & will over crowd a space list as easily.

*This monster sits in a chair in an east-facing window. I water it when I think about it or when Greg reminds me.*
What is there NOT TO LOVE about this behemoth?! I have shared it with many friends. I cut a few pieces off and before I realize it- there are more leaves growing on my plant and the cuttings have roots!
This plant has been with me a long time. We are buds. We love to sit and just watch the craziness go on in the household.
No bugs. No stress. No complaints. I just beat in a few stakes for it to have a direction and it grows from there.
Soon, I anticipate that it will be too big for the chair and it'll have to resort to sitting on the floor, but I don't think it'll mind too much.
Fun fact: I was stressing out about picking out curtains for the windows, but this guy is just going to sit here instead!
