I purchased this from a second hand seller. Not thinking about it, I placed the plant in the car and immediately noticed Fungus Gnats! Tons of them!!!
After letting the soil dry out, I repotted him and sprayed it down with Neem oil. Voila!! Almost like new! He lost a few large leaves in the process but survived the infestation. It is very water finicky, but does have new growth after all its trauma

honestly, i’ve only had this baby for a few weeks (i’ve been procrastinating putting him up on greg because i didn’t want to get him down), but i’ve been just watering him every few days when he gets dull and i’m so glad i put him on here. now i don’t have to worry about killing him!

Crotons are such a struggle for me.
I have already had one loose all leaves and die.
I kept this one alive for a year, it was small, and slowly but surely dropped all its leaves until it only had this tiny waxy tuft of leaves on top. Not a good sign.
In hindsight I don’t think it was getting enough light.
I trimmed it, got rid of the waxy tuft, put it much closer to the window and am hoping that the one remaining leaf is enough to power a rebirth!
Fingers crossed.
