These guys are awesome! They’ll get super big and bushy, BUT they NEED consistency! Consistent watering and a good amount of sun. It’s easy to see when you’re doing something wrong, leaves will develop brown spots and look super ugly. Don’t let that deter you, figs are wonderful!

fiddle leaf fig leaves are gorgeous. very easy to overwater. fast grower when near a window. it kills me when i get a brown leaf. 🥴

It’s a neutral plant. It just exists. I’ve burned the leaves with neem oil twice. Other than that, it’s not demanding.

These are tough to get the hang of. My Mom and I bought ours at the same time. Hers dropped all its leaves mine lost one. Hers has regrown half the leaves and mine hasn’t even a little green new nub. Haha

This is my first fiddle leaf fig. It is a great plant to have around the house. It gives so much life and makes your surroundings feel so fresh. At first I was very nervous about the watering because I have heard that if you water them too much or too little they will drop leaves like crazy. Luckily mine has only dropped 3 leaves from the bottom but I suspect it’s because it is growing. It had so many new leaflets in the top. I usually water it once a week and I do about 1 1/2 cups to 2 cups. Depending on how the weather is. (More water when it’s hot). Overall I have had a a positive experience with this plant!

He’s a little bit finicky, and definitely struggled when I got him. Was finally able to get him back to health and now he shoots out new leaves all the time :)

It’s hard to keep alive without a lot of bright light! Mine dropped 3-4 leaves and almost died before I bought a grow light

Very moody & needy! I haven’t had a successful fiddle leaf yet. Hopefully this app helps me keep this guy alive!

They’re picky but they thrive easily under the right conditions and look stunning. If you follow the fiddle leaf species-specific guidelines about what they like for soil, watering, placement, etc it will be very smooth sailing.
