My fiddle leaf was purchased with three big leaves. Whatever I did (I think underwatered end then stupidly removed from sunlight—thinking it may have burnt), all the leaves browned and started to drop. Well I saw a little green something peeking out from the stem, so I thought I’d give it a try and plopped him right in front of my southern window, no repotting or first aid or anything. I did leave one of the only half brown old leaves that seemed to be still hanging onto the stem tightly. Of course, I assumed I completely killed it in one short month, but by the end of the day, that little green something turned into a tiny bit of a leaf. Within a couple days, I had a small but full green leaf. After a week, a second joined him. I’ve totally failed plants before, but I’ve never known one to survive so quickly and easily! Whatever happens, just don’t give up!

This is the biggest drama queen I have ever owned but they are also my favorite. They beautiful to look at and are so rewarding when you finally get it right. Each tree that I own want specific things and if they don’t get it they throw a tantrum and drop leaves. It’s better to have a scheduled watering rhythm, though. Not for first time plant owners In my opinion.
