How to fertilize Echeveria multicaulis

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Echeveria multicaulis after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Almost 3 weeks after the repotting gone wrong Echeveria #fireandice is strong, healthy, and growing again. 🤗💚🪴

Is this seedling too much Sun stressed? I'm trying not to Sun stress it at all. There are some less green patches on it, I think. (I do not talk about 2 small dots, but about the green colour in general) @SuperblyLilac

This very rare #FireandIce #Echeveria Sahara is getting more pretty every day. She is a true glossy leafed princess already. #succulentsquad #succulentlove #succulents #plantsmakepeoplehappy #happyplants

Repotting Finished! My echeveria definitely took some overwatering at the store. Today I replaced her soil with a succulent mix w/ extra perlite to help with the winter weather here in my apartment. Luckily I didn’t see any rot while inspecting her roots, but I couldn’t get all of her old soil loose. I removed as much of the wet soil as I could and will water soon once I believe the leftover soil has had a chance to dry as well. I’ve got a grow light coming in on Monday for her too as we don’t get a lot of sun in my place! As you can see, I added a photo of her old mix… barely any drainage! Poor girl. And I lost a few water logged leaves during the process but I believe she’ll be better off without them! <3 #Echeveria #overwatered #repotting

i was wondering what soil might be best for my succulent? i never got around to potting it in an actual pot 🥲

more updates 😊🌱✨ 1. Taro my mystery Echeveria, I think it’s a morning Dew Echeveria but I’m not 100% sure so if anyone has a different opinion please comment below! He is super healthy, and got repotted recently into gritty mix. 2. My baby calico hearts, I separated her from my bigger calico hearts. I’m so glad I was able to get two plants out of it. They really are one of my favorite plants, and I’m so happy they both are doing so well. 🌱💕 3. Silver teaspoons 🥄 has new growth, & has been treated recently with arber. 4. Pachyphytum moon silver, every time I look at these guys, I think about the state they were in when I bought them at the store, they were bone dry, shriveled and needed lots of love. 🌱 They have made such a comeback & have grown so much! 5. My string of pearls 🌱🫛🧵 she still is putting off new growth, & doing well. I try to rotate her as much as possible so she can grow evenly. I was able to get a lot off watering done today, lately I have beenn having to water twice as much if nott more, after repotting some of these plants in gritty mix. It’s a lot to adjust too, since I’m not used to having to water as much, but I will get adjusted to the new routine. ⏰😬 #NewGrowth #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulents #Echeveria #CalicoHearts #Kalanchoe #Pachyphytum #StringOfPearls #PestControl #ArberBioFungicide #ArberBioInsecticide #HappyPlants

hope you guys are having a great weekend so far! 😊 before I hit the hay 🌾 I wanted to share some of my favorite Echeverias currently. They are tiny but still display beautiful colors and rosettes 🤩 The first picture is Neptune my ‘Echeveria Elegans’ rosette shape especially in the middle, I got him and his sister Jewel, (‘Echeveria Seraphina’) for my birthday. I put them in my super cute turtle planter (posted it a month ago, if you guys remember). I used bonsai jack to repot them. Last but not least is Flo my ‘Echeveria Pulidonis’, which was one of my first Echeverias, & we have had a rocky road but she made such a 360 after I gave her some alone time over the summer. When she was struggling I decided to take her out the arrangement she was in, and repot her alone in a smaller cell with new clean soil. She since then has made quite the transformation. I posted her progress this summer but, it’s worthy for a repost soon 😏 so keep your eye out! #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #NewGrowth #HappyPlants #Succulents #Succulent #Echeveria #pulidonis #MexicanSnowBall #Seraphina #BonsaiJack #PlantAddict

Wanted to share this after a post from @Charli3Plant had me questioning life & if my PVN (perle Von nurnberg) was actually that.. or a purple pearl 😆 so here I have a comparison of a purple Pearl, PVN, & dusty rose 😊 #SucculentLove #Succulents #PlantInfo #PlantID #plantidentification #Echeveria #perlevonnermburg #PurplePearlEcheveria #SucculentSquad
Echeveria multicaulis thrives in dry soil and should be watered sparingly. Use our water calculator to personalize watering recommendations to your environment or download Greg for more advanced recommendations for all of your plants.
☀️ Sunlight Needs
Echeveria multicaulis requires abundant, bright and direct light. Place it less than one foot from a window to ensure it receives enough light to survive 💪. Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement in your home 🏡.
🐶 🐈 👶 Toxicity
Greg does not have confirmed data on this plant’s toxicity. If you, a family member, or a pet consumes plant material of unknown toxicity, it’s always best to consult a medical professional.
If you or someone else ingested this plant, call Poison Control at US (800) 222-1222. If a pet consumed this plant, contact your veterinarian or the ASPCA at US (888) 426-4435.
💨 Humidity
Echeveria multicaulis enjoys lots of humidity. Provide humidity for your plant by watering regularly and thoroughly, since plants absorb most water through their root system rather than their leaves. They may also benefit from being placed next to a humidifier.
🪴 Soil
Echeveria multicaulis is very sensitive to wet soil, so choose a potting soil that drains very well and doesn’t retain too much moisture. A good soil will have lots of perlite or vermiculite for drainage and some organic matter for nutrition. A few handfuls of perlite added to regular store-bought cactus soil will do the trick!
💩 Fertilizer
Echeveria multicaulis grows very slowly and doesn’t require added fertilizer. Replacing your plant’s potting soil once a year should provide them with more than enough nutrition. Remember, plants get their energy from sunlight, not fertilizer!
❄️ Dormancy
It’s common for Echeveria multicaulis to go dormant in the wintertime and you may notice their growth slow down. Waterings should be spaced out more during this time.
🌎 Native Region
Echeveria multicaulis is native to Central and northern South America.
🧐 Troubleshooting
When troubleshooting a sad-looking houseplant, start by checking for signs of distress in its leaves, such as yellowing, browning, or drooping, which can indicate overwatering or nutrient deficiencies.
Inspect the soil moisture; too dry or too wet soil can cause problems.
Ensure the plant is getting the right amount of light, as too much or too little can stress it.
Finally, consider environmental factors like temperature and humidity, and adjust care routines accordingly to revive your plant.
