How to fertilize Chinese evergreen

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Chinese evergreen after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

So, my #Aglaonema pictum tricolor is really giving me a hard time! I got it as a starter plant about a year ago, maybe like 8 months ago, something like that. Anyway, she has been doing great and consistently putting out new leaves, but the problem is, ever since she bloomed a few months ago (two flowers!), every time she gets a new leaf, she kills off an older one. She never has more than 3-4 leaves at a time and it’s really bugging me! How will she ever grow up to be a lush lady if she only ever has 3 leaves? 😭😭😭 Does anyone have any experience/advice? @UltraKoreanfir I know you have one, do you have any idea what’s happening here? Am I doing something wrong? All my other aglaonemas are thriving but they’re mature. #GregGang #NewGrowth #RarePlants #babevila

How do I cut these off???? I always wondered why this plant never did very well since I’ve brought it home. Just couldn’t get the watering or the light right I thought. Then the other day I noticed this black plastic sticking up out of the soil. I can’t believe I never noticed this before! Hoping to cut them off and repot in a chunky soil mix in a clay pot. Any tips? And there’s some sort of little round white type eggs in the soil that look like about the size of small per light, but they have liquid inside. Anybody know what those are??? So gross. #HappyPlants #Aglaonema #BigBoxStoreFind #BigBoxStoreProblems #PestControl #deathplugs #PlantAddict #ChineseEvergreen #NEPAGregGang

Im trying to propagate. What is the best way? Also, how moist should the soil stay? What kind of drainage is best. I think I'm over watering. #Aglaonema

Anyone know the name of this Aglaonema and proper care for it? It’s my roommate’s, and they’re having some serious trouble keeping it happy. I’m hoping to bring it back under my care, but we’ll see 😅 #Aglaonema

My plant is not happy. It has been yellowing but I do have a new leaf. It’s still a baby. Is my plant too wet? Can anyone help me out please? #Aglaonema

I want to give a big shoutout and some flowers 💐 to @danisgreenhouse for the tip on fertilizer for my struggling baby pictum tricolor Aglaonema last week! You were *exactly right*!!! I went and got some all-purpose fertilizer (not a whole lot of choices on short notice locally but I will order what you recommended online!) and by then, the third to last leaf was fully yellow 😭 I quickly read the instructions and did the damn thing, and crossed my fingers… I’ve been holding my breath, afraid to relax worried as soon as I do, I’ll start seeing that garish yellow again, but I think it’s done the trick! You’re a genius! I’m so so so grateful to you and so happy and grateful to have this wonderful community of plant angels 😇🌿♥️🥹 Seriously, thank you so much. Here it is with its two beautiful, happy leaves! And I’m sure more will come soon 🤗🌿 1st picture is tonight, a few days post-fertilization! The others are last week when it was in decline and I was freaking out! #CrisisAverted #GregGang #Greggers #Aglaonema #AglaonemaAddicts #Fertilizer #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #babevila
