Love violet! She blooms easily with very particular care. Be sure to have drainage and water from the bottom for about 20 minutes.

I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve neglected a fair few African violets in my time and, without fail, they come right back with a little bit of TLC. Definitely a good choice if you’re prone to forget about your plants once and a while.

you need to water it from the bottom up, so you need a pot with holes in the bottom that it can grab water through.

I’ve found taking care of my violets easy, and have them bloom a couple times a year. The key is NOT to overwater (like w most plants), but is key to keeping it alive.

Do not allow leaves to get wet. Use a pot that allows for bottom watering. Fertilize in late winter

This plant is absolutely beautiful and blooms incredibly easily. I bought mine with 4 blooms and a few days later it had 10. You should be aware that they are very sensitive to light. I recommend partial light, rotating it occasionally, and paying close attention to whether the bottom leaves are drooping or not. Too much or too little water will quickly upset the plant. Keep the top soil moist most of the time and it should be fine.

I’ve been able to share many African Violets with others by setting a healthy leaf 1/3 way down in fertile soil.

Very prone to root rot, be careful with the type of soil and how often you water. Also not the temperature of the room and the water as the roots are sensitive to those changes as well

A bit of research after purchasing told me to water this baby from the bottom, the leaves can rot if they get wet. I bought my plant in bloom almost 2 months ago, and most of the blossoms are still beautiful! So far, I've had no trouble with it. I love it!
