I’ve had this since 2019 and it has certainly grown! Repotted twice. Doesn’t like too much direct light but needs lots of indirect light in order to bloom. Finger test (tricky if you can’t get to the soil!) to water when just dry…also leaves will go limp when thirsty. Recently discover blooms will be pale when needing fertilizer and when fed, the blue edges appear brilliantly!

I love an African violet. With the tight conditions it will bloom for you. You have to water from the bottom and it will be hsppy for you. It also like filtered light. A north window is perfect for it or somewhere away from the brightest light.

African Violets are quite easy to grow and have large beautiful leaves. If there is anything wrong with them they decline slowly and can survive almost anything so you can easily fix any problems they might have. My African Violets seem to brown easily but that has stopped after I started watering them more consistently.

It doesn't require a lot of maintenance, it's very beautiful, and it doesn't require a lot of sunlight. However, the flowers brown easily and if you're replanting it, you'll need to add half a cardboard toilet roll on the side of the pot in order for the plant to suck the water in slower then usual.

I just got my African violets so I’m pretty new to them but they have bloomed some more since I got them! I haven’t repotted them yet. I’m hopeful that they really will bloom all year round! Their flowers are strong so I know at least these ones will last for a while!
So beautiful, definitely recommend 💜
They sit in my sunroom, a little far from the windows but receiving evening sun. We’ll see how it goes!
