Finding light for Never Never Plant in your home
a window
Never Never Plant may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Never Never Plant in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Never Never Plant
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Never Never Plant after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Sap on underside of the leaves - not a good sign! I am trying my best not to be an overwaterer so I ignore this plant as to not drown her. However on my latest visit to her I noticed she has dots of sap on the underside of her leaves and her purple is fading. I cant see any pests (unless they are actively in the leaf tissue!?) And I can't see any webbing. .... she does have some spots on top of her leaves which from a far may look like pests but when I look closely they damage to the leaf which I thought may be from where I've sprayed insecticidal soap and been a very bad plant parent and not wiped it properly! I have very recently adding some plant food for the first time to her water. And we don't get much humidity. Do I need to isolate her? Any recommendation/advice would be welcome, thank you in advance! #NeverNeverCtenanthe

Yellowing leaves Hi! I'm new here, first time posting. I got this gorgeous Ctenanthe last week as a birthday gift from my husband. He got it from Trader Joes. I am not familiar with this type of plant at all. I noticed it has yellowing leaves, it did come like that to be fair. I sprayed it neem oil when I first brought it home. How do I cut the sickly leaves off? How do I propagate these? Best lighting for it?

Why are the leaves of my plant curling? #NeverNeverCtenanthe

Hi all! We got this plant as a Christmas present at work. I have been following the water schedule on the app but she does not look very happy :/ Someone mentioned it may just be the time of year but wanted to make sure we didn’t manage to kill it already #FishbonePrayerPlant

Browning tips! I moved her from a higher spot that had more hot air from a vent at her. She’s still browning in a lower spot same room she’s been in. Not watering any differently. Any ideas?

What have I done ! #NeverNeverCtenanthe my plant was thriving and all of a sudden it started to dry up! The soil is still moist to the touch. I’ve been watering half a cup a week as recommend. Any suggestions? Will she grow back?

my leaves are curling in, but I’ve held back on watering too much and I’ve set up a growing light. What’s wrong with my plant? #FishbonePrayerPlant

This plant is kind of yellowing but the leaves aren’t shrivelled like it’s dry? But still it doesn’t look “healthy” any ideas what’s missing?

What substrate do you choose for a chunky mix? Hello planty people! 💕🌿 🫶 I am in the process of slowly moving over most of my collection to a simple soil-less mix after getting some great advice from @SuperbRaspfern (and while there is nothing wrong with that back to roots soil, I’ve decided to save it for outdoors instead, and have everything inside be the same so I don’t get confused). 1/3 coco coir, washed and buffered** 1/3 perlite 1/3 orchid bark **While Shannon’s mix includes peat, I’m substituting coco because I simply have a ton of it But now I’m wondering what substrate to pick for my plants Greg info card?? Does it really matter? There is coco, perlite, and orchid bark, but only individually. 🤚 For those that have a similar mix, what have you found is the best option that works with Greg’s watering/fertilizing reminders? Thank you 🙏 FOR TAX REASONS ⚖️ 🗃️, here are some pictures of my lovely ctenanthe, whom I only got 1 month ago, and is just CRUSHING IT with a TON of new roots, new leaves, and a whole new offshoot!! 😱 I’ve been watching it [the new offshoot] for a week and I just noticed this brand new baby leaf 🙌 🍃 Will you just look at it?? 🫶 #thethread #brunchataudreys #gregadvice #dreammachine #happyplants #help #ADHDPLANTLOVERS
