@RevealingPalqui Hi Anne, No sorry, the Hoya Kerrii must have a node to be able to grow into a full grown Hoya plant. It will grow roots but if a node is not attached to the cutting it will not grow any larger than what it is. It's basically a novelty given to people on Valentine's Day.
But if you like them, you can find the full plant at many nurseries! This is mine:
Agree with Heidi and Deb, but want to add you might still get lucky. In very rare cases, these one leaf cuttings happen to have a bit of node/ piece of stem attached. In most cases, sadly, they don't, but I have heard of stories off and on, where those novelty cuttings started growing at some point. What I'm saying is, in your position I would just keep caring for it. Worst case you have a nice little leaf for a while that does nothing. and in the meantime - if you like the plant itself, you could still keep an eye out for a real plant, like Deb suggested, or for a "real" cutting from a hoya seller (that contains at least one node and will grow). Fingers crossed.
