Leaves turning transparent

Does anyone know why the leaves would be turning transparent? It seems otherwise healthy and is growing well but the older leaves are becoming see-through. It's the only philo I have with this problem ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ it's like the green healthy part is dissappearing. #Philodendron

Hey Chloe, it looks like your plant is going through Chlorisis. This means the plant is losing chlorophyll. Don't be alarmed. It is reversible. I will provide a list below of things to do.
1. Always keep the sun and water on your plants schedule.
2. Apply a generous amount of fertilizer. You might need more of a calcium base fertilizer for this situation.
3. Grab some organic matter (peat moss, grass cuttings, compost, etc) and mix it in with your soil.

Hopefully, this helps your plant before it's too late. Happy planting!๐Ÿ‘‹
@YeveShortblack hi! I was wondering what the benefits of organic matter in soil are? Iโ€™ve never heard of this & am very curious!
Organic matter is soil that is based off of plant and animal materials. Usually by decomposition. Benefits of organic matter are:
โ€ข Nutrient Supply
โ€ข Soil Structure
โ€ข Water Activity
โ€ข Microbial activity
โ€ข Root Development

These all help your plant grow happy.๐Ÿ˜Š
