What are my plans leaves this color almost white or yello...

Last watered 1 year ago
When leaves turn yellow/very pale like this it’s called Chlorosis - a lack of chlorophyll. This plant also shows inter-veinal chlorosis β€” when new leaves start yellow but the leaf veins stay green. I also see leaf curling. Many factors can cause chlorosis, interveinal chlorosis, and leaf curling, however, having this combination of issues present most likely indicates a nutrient deficiency in the soil, which is almost certainly due to a lack of iron. If it is from a lack of iron, then it may also be causing dark, burn-like spots, or burned looking edges, on leaves, as well as leaf drop, slow/stunted growth, reduced (flowering). Another explanation could be pests or a fungus.

So first, I’d recommend you do a visual inspection of your plant looking for signs of pests: clusters of aphids, holes in leaves, thin webbing between leaves (spider mites). Look for signs of fungal activity like powdery mildew (looks like powder), etc.

If there are no signs of pests or fungus, then you should test the soil’s PH level and to find any deficiencies. If it is an Iron deficiency, I recommend using liquid Chelated Iron. It works great and quickly.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes. It looks like you caught it pretty early, so you should have no problem correcting the problem once you can identify what is causing it.

Any chance you are over or under watering?
