don’t know what’s up! trim??

have had this plant for about 2 years. it went through a move and died and then i brought it back. we have an east facing house so it only gets sun about half the day and then not.

this weird growth and arms started happening and idk if i should trim it or what it is! also recently turned it 180 since it was growing nearer the window. any advice helps! thank you!
