Fishbone Cactus Propagation

I’ve had this guy for months now and he was doing pretty rough. He shriveled up a bit and had no water for around 1.5 months while I was in the process of moving.
Then I had him in water he started growing roots. I thought he was doing well so I added some plant food to the water, and then some sort of algae killed all of the roots. So now he’s plump and healthy looking but I need to speed up the root process and get this guy into some dirt. Suggestions? He’s chilling in plain water currently. #FishboneCactus #PropagationStation
@ProminentSalal well, if you don’t mind me saying so, I think the speeding up the process last time is what did the roots in 🫠 I’d just wait until you have enough roots to pot up. Don’t add anything else to the water, except possible a couple drops of hydrogen peroxide. Make sure the prop is in a stable, warm environment, and near light but not necessarily in direct sunshine or under a grow light.
Alright thank you
