So I missed an entire week of work and it was the week I ...

#Echeveria
A good grow light with a timer will do the trick! My office has no windows at all, so my succulents live uder a CRI 95+ full spectrum grow light that’s on 16 hours a day. I had to try a few (three πŸ˜…) different lights before finding one of an office friendly size/design that gave off sufficient light so they wouldn’t stretch.
These succulents will not last long without consistent, bright light. Echeverias are especially HUGE light lovers. They thrive most with natural, direct sunlight. Growlights can be fine for them, but they have to be super close to the plant and very bright, consistently on for majority of the day. Without the proper light, they will start to stretch in the stem and the leaves will start to shrivel and fall off.
I'm open to suggestions for the light. I bought mine from Amazon. Not sure if it's sufficient enough.
@NewPeanut56 best way to know is to watch your plants. πŸ™‚ With sufficient light the rosettes will remain compact and the leaves might even develop extra colors (called β€œstress” colors). If the light is not enough, then you’ll start to see the plant stems stretch and the leaves will get further apart (called β€œetiolation”).

Buying lights on Amazon is perfectly fine. I always check the reviews for any comments and/or setup pictures from people with succulents.
