New leaves not coming of night blooming jasmine
Hello Dear,
I have a question about my night blooming jasmine.
1month before I purchased night blooming jasmine.
After a week it's dropping old leaves and new growing leaves coming well.
But then new leaves coming slow.
After 2 weeks I gives it vermicompost about 9 table spoon with Neem cake a table spoon.
Then after 15 days of vermicompost I gives it epsom salt water and bone meal.
But some branches still empty.
After a week I give it mustard cake.
But the some branches empty.
What should I need to do please
I want this plant bushi.

@HipBeachrose66 Welcome to the Greg community! To get a night-blooming jasmine plant to grow bushy, focus on pruning and providing optimal growing conditions. Prune after flowering in late summer or early fall, and consider pinching back stem tips to encourage branching and a fuller shape. Here's a more detailed approach:
1. Pruning:
Time:
Prune after the plant has finished blooming in late summer or early fall.
Technique:
Use sharp pruning shears to make clean cuts.
Thinning: Remove crowded branches to improve air circulation and light penetration.
Pruning above nodes: Prune just above a leaf node or branching point to encourage new growth in the desired direction.
Removing unhealthy branches: Prioritize removing any dead, damaged, or diseased branches. Purpose:
Pruning helps maintain the plant's natural shape and encourages bushier growth.
Pinching:
Pinching back the tips of young shoots (especially in the first two years) promotes rapid growth and lush foliage. 2. Optimal Growing Conditions:
Sunlight: Night-blooming jasmine thrives in full sun or partial shade, with at least six hours of direct sunlight per day.
Soil: Provide well-draining soil with a good amount of compost.
Watering: Water regularly, especially during the initial establishment, ensuring the soil remains moist but not waterlogged.
Fertilizing: Fertilize twice a year with fertilizer rich in potassium and phosphorus. Hope this helps, Happy Growing!!

Welcome to Greg, Babar!
If there are some branches that are totally leafless you can prune them. It will tell the plant to focus energy and growth elsewhere.
Some plants need several weeks, even months, to adapt to their new home. So it might still be adjusting.
I would look for pests and then focus on giving it the best light and watering schedule I can while it adjusts.

@HipBeachrose66 To answer your question about the amount you need to consider two things. The size of the pot and the type of plant it is. The amount of worm castings added to soil for potted plants generally depends on the pot's size, with a general guideline of about 1/4 cup (6 ml) for every 6 inches (15 cm) of container diameter. This translates to a recommendation of 1-2 cups for established plants. When incorporating worm castings into the soil, it's also important to consider the type of plant and the desired ratio of castings to soil. For Night-blooming Jasmine, mix worm castings at a ratio of 10-20% by volume in the soil when planting or repotting. You can also top-dress the plant with a thin layer of castings every few months. For example, if you're using 10 gallons of potting mix, you could add 1-2 gallons of worm castings. Apply a thin layer of worm castings (about 1/2 inch) around the base of the plant and work it into the top 1 inch of soil. This provides a supplemental feeding for established plants. You can add worm castings at planting, when repotting, and as a top dressing every few months throughout the growing season. Night-blooming Jasmine is a tropical plant that thrives in well-drained soil with good aeration. Worm castings can help improve drainage and aeration in the soil, making them a beneficial addition to the planting mix. Hope this helps, Hapy growing!!
