Whatβs going on with my begonia?
My poor begonia has been declining rapidly. Does anyone know what is going on with her? Sheβs got these white spots on her soil and her leaves look terrible and she has stopped her rapid growth. I thought it was fungus and have been treating her with copper fungicide, but it is not working. #Begonia

@calvina When you say it's not working, is that because you have seen it spreading? Or is it because you don't see the white looking areas improving (looking less white)? Try mixing Dawn dishwashing soap with water, about 1T per liter, and spray it on. It is a desiccant, drying the mold up on contact. The mold on the soil - you could just remove the top layer then spray with soap.
Abundance of moisture is what is causing this, so you may want to wait longer between watering, dial down the humidifier, and/or turn on the ceiling fans π
There are also subtle signs of potential rot on the leaves (yellow spots/areas). You probably need a better draining soil mix. If you need additional info on dealing with rot, inspecting for rot, or re-pot ting, just ask... someone will help. I just assume that with 14000+ points that you're good on that. But if not, just say the word. βΊοΈ
Good luck! π€. I hope somewhere in there you find some advice that's helpful.
