Brown and dry leaf

I just got this plant, a company had it exposed for an event as decoration, when I knew they were going to throw it I took it home, so I don't really know anything about the plant and it started making these brownish dry leaf on one side, should I be worried? I don't really know how to keep it btw I'm kind of a beginner so what's your suggestions on watering / fertilisers? I also use a nebulizer cause I read online that it's good for this plant. #Codiaeum

Hi @WholeWavycap83 πŸ‘‹. Who knows how it was cared for prior to the event πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. If it’s winter where you are it could have been exposed to cold temperatures on that side. Or if it’s summertime then too much heat or direct sun. You’ll probably lose those damaged leaves, they can’t go back to green and colorful. If it were mine I’d let the leaves fall off naturally or give them a little tug at the base of the stem and see if they’re ready to drop. Continue to regularly water her but allow the soil to dry out a bit in between waterings. Her profile info says near a heater, I’d move her away from any heat as heating dries up the air. It grows happiest in warm humid climates.
@MariansOasis Thank you, yes it is winter here, actually I don't really know what it meant for "near" the heater is in the same room at a distance of 5 feet from it.
+ I noticed that the soil is very humid, but the pot has drainage holes so maybe it's not a problem?
thanks for the help :)
