Do i need to lay George Spikel to rest?

Is he still salvageable? i think i messed up by under watering him for fear of overwatering, and then put him too close to a window…he might be fried. He’s a miniature desert rose.
0ft to light, direct
6” pot without drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
I think there’s a chance to save him. I had a similar situation with one of my aloe plants. Moving it back from the window and getting less direct light would help. Also removing some of the dead leaves would be good.
@FairSnowflower omg thank you. i wasn’t sure if moving him back from the window was the best idea or not; i’ll do that for sure. and remove the dead leaves. fingers crossed.
Hi Alyssa, it says you have him in a pot without drainage, if that’s true it needs to be in a pot with drainage. Use a good draining soil like cactus/succulent soil and perlite- I make a 60 soil/40 perlite mixture. Also, a porous pot like terracotta would be helpful. When watering- when sticking a finger down 2 inches- if it feels dry- no soil comes out in your finger- it’s time to water. 21 months is a very long time not to give water. I also feel a 6 inch pot is too big for it, I would go down to a 4 inch and possible a 2 inch. You have some green coloring so it’s not completely dead. I just had to repot mine because it grew so fast…and I have mine outside in full sun (6-7 hours) every day, and I water it a little every week to 10 days (depending on this Texas heat). I hope this helps.
