@JollyRoger yes you sure can, but it can be a challenge. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. They do not tolerate wet feet! Keep them in bright filtered light avoiding direct sunlight. If it's in front of a window make sure to rotate it regularly so it grows upright instead of to one side. They generally bloom like early thru midsummer for a few weeks at most. Keep it away from heaters also. They like the same temps we like (65-75Β° F) but the draft from a heater will not only dry out the soil it will burn the foliage.
Even if you provide the perfect environment for your Lily it may still die back. It's in their nature. But don't toss it out! Lilies grow from bulbs so you can plant it in your yard and it will do beautifully in your climate in Sacramento! Just bury the bulb about 6" deep in a spot where you don't have standing water when it rains and it gets morning sun and some dappled afternoon sun. She won't bloom outdoors this season but next year she'll be a show-stopper! Hope this helps and Good Luck πŸ€πŸ’š
@Lifeis2short thanks, I’ve got 5 Easter lilies and 3 tiger lilies. So you think I should group the Easter lilies together in a big clay pot?
@JollyRoger lilies need room to spread their roots and don't really like to be crowded so I wouldn't suggest it.

Lilies are absolutely my favorite flower! And the scent of an Easter Lily.....πŸ₯Ή I have several planted in a specific area in my yard (under a Hickory tree so they get morning sunshine and protected from the hot summer sun) along with some Day Lilies and it's absolutely my favorite part of the yard 😊
