Soil recommendations
#RavenZzPlant
Finally ready to repot my original ZZ that started my love for them all. She has been thriving and growing quickly in original soil and pot shes been in for probably almost 3 years so I was hesitant to repot but itβs time to go for it. Does anyone have any soil recommendations preferably I can get somewhere easy like Loweβs or something.

Hi Gigi!
Since ZZs are drought tolerant I personally use potting soil and add a lot of amendments to make it chunky. You can usually find both at your local garden center / greenhouse / big box store. Look for orchid bark, perlite, leca, Coco coir chips, vermiculite, etc. They are usually with the potting soil!

@LiftLashPlant, The best potting mix for a ZZ house plant is going to be a partial mix of 50% regular potting soil, 40% cactus soil mix and 10% perlite, orchid bark or coco coir chips added to that which makes for good soil aeration and drainage. Alternatively. You can use a straight cactus mix but add orchid bark or perlite to make it more of a chunky mix and provide better drainage.
@Shells_Garden @PlantMompy Ok I was actually thinking of mixing potting soil with my cactus mix I already have so Iβll do that thank you both
