Trichocereus~
I was given a cutting of a #Trichocereus months and months ago from a Master Gardener.
.
It calloused and then was repotted in well draining soil and placed in full AZ sun.
.
It has never done anything. No growth. And itβs kind of flopped over. Best I can tell from photos, it should be a straight plant.
.
I decided to freshen soil and repot and move to a more shaded area. There are roots. YAY. But the base is a lil squishy. Is is supposed to be squishy/soft?
.
Should I cut it higher up and start over?

@Jessejohn so, I can cut it and if no brown or black, it will callous and I can try again?
@Jessejohn bummer! I did cut about 5-6 inches off. Looks good. Calloused for 4-5 days and I just repotted it in well draining soil. π€π»π€π»π€π»
@Jessejohn π€π»π€π» time will tell. LOL
@Jessejohn so far do good. But obviously canβt see yet if itβs rooting. Iβll give it awhile longer and then repot it. But no noticeable changes.
