Keep in mind, most miracles are planted as annuals - you plant them once a year. There are a few that are considered perennials (they keep on growing), but they look pretty rough during their off months. 
I didn’t take one before I fixed it because it was in the middle of the night I noticed he was barking and I went outside and then noticed the plant but this is after I fixed it and packed the soil back around it well!
