Soil drying way too slow

*please read my entire post before commenting πŸ™Œ* Hey guys! I’ve been having a big issue with every single one of my plants lately. Indoor and outdoor. Every time I water, it will take over a month for the soil to dry out. It takes two weeks for the topsoil to dry out and it’s getting really annoying. I am not overwatering 😭. I know I’m not. But my plants are showing overwatering symptoms because it takes literal AGES for the soil to dry. Every other plant has a different kind of soil so I know it’s not a specific brand. It isn’t humid in my house. I am soooo confused. In my latest case, I have a string of tears that was watered 3 weeks ago and is STILL soggy on the topsoil. Any tips on how to fix this? Any and all help is appreciated. Thank y’all!!

Hi ally! That sounds like a pain! I know you said you’ve tried different types of soil, but have you tried succulent soil? There’s a specific soil for succulents you can buy that helps prevent from the soil holding onto moisture since succulents need very little water. β—‘Μˆ
@FreeFairyduster I actually have tried the miracle gro one. It hasn’t really been that great. Are there any other brands you’d recommend? Or If I tried making my own do you think it may work better? Thank you so much for the help! :)
