Crispy leaves at the bottom of the plant?

Roja’s upper leaves seem to be doing well, they look healthy, but the lower ones ( the new ones I guess?) have weak stems and are getting crispy. She’s not near any heater and gets medium light. I water her every 8-9 days. Any ideas on what might be going wrong? #PeperomiaRedLog #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

I have the same thing with some of my peperomias. It's a circle-of-life kinda thing. The lower leaves don't get as much light and they tend to wither.

I like to think of it as survival of the fittest and the plant releases the leaves that aren't doing well and supports the leaves that are doing well.

I just go through and pick out the crunchies when I water. πŸ’š
@ClimbingTozzia @sarahsalith is correct. She’s an expert at plants 🌱 πŸ’š
@sarahsalith thank you! That’s such a relief to know, especially as a first time plant parent 😊
@ClimbingTozzia I'm glad you found Greg! (:
