please help, my plant is dying

I've had my plant for almost half a year now, and it's dying. it has dropped a bunch of brown / light brown leaves and is very bare now. I've sprayed neem oil and reported pot. it's been a week since I've repotted pot but there doesn't seem to be improvement and the leaves are turning brown and curling. there doesn't seem to be much green leaves left. please help
3ft to light, indirect
4โ€ pot with drainage

What medium/soil did you use in the reporting? Did you place it in the same location as before reporting? Also, did you have brown leaves before and/or after repotting?
@plantplugpluma it's universal soil with lava rock. I did shift it to a few other places in my house since there was some renovation being done but shifted it back afterwards. brown leaves as in in the picture shown then it started to turn brown after repotting. before repotting the leaves will turn brown and drop.
It may be root rot. That plant well draining soil especially because it's in a container. Might try repotting with a fast draining arid soil mixed with a universal soil but it may be beyond rescue
@plantplugpluma
it was in clay soil before repotting. when I repotted it the root didn't look black tho.
Try removing it from the soil and inspecting the roots now for any signs of rot
