Hi Corin!

Where did you find that cutie patootie plant?

I'm in love with all things dolphin, Golden Retriever, horses ๐ŸŽ ๐Ÿ’›, and of course ๐Ÿ˜‰ plants ๐Ÿชด ๐Ÿ˜„

Oh...if your plant needs repotting, you shouldn't lose any of the existing growth.

Just remember that it will be in shock for a while so keep in one place, don't touch it, and make sure it has light and some humidity.
Hi Corin, welcome to Greg!

"Best practice" is the repot during growing season, only go up one or two pot sizes (usually 1-2") and when possible, don't mess with the roots at all.

These like to be a little tighter in the pot so I'd put off repotting until you know they need to size up. When you do, put some growing medium in the bottom of the new pot, pull your SOD out of the old pot and set it in the new pot, then fill in around the gaps. Less root disturbances = less chance of transplant shock = less dolphins lost.
