@PoshCapecowslip your pot looks a little big for a plant that size and it’s likely you soil is retaining too much moisture/water so the soil can never fully dry out. That could lead to root rot or other issues. Begonias like well draining light and airy soil. I planted mine in a mix of garden soil, peat, perlite and bark for drainage. You might consider downsizing the pot to a 4 inch and change the soil which will provide an excellent opportunity to check that the root system is still healthy.
That picture is hard to see. What about it is sad?
