Prayer plant looking leggy

Wondering how you keep your prayer plants from becoming too leggy. I see pictures of others with foliage close to the pot. Mine arrives with relatively long stems and does not seem super happy about it. With another plant I might pinch off new shoots at the top, but I’m inexperienced doing that with a plant with such big leaves.

Marantas do not like direct sun- it makes them leggy and stunts their growth. You can move it away from the window in a medium to bright area that doesn't get direct light. You should see changes for the better slowly over the next few months.
@sarahsalith thank you! Since it’s already starting out leggy do I need to do anything to pinch it back?
@Artsonggirl you can. I cut mine back a few days ago. It'll give your plant a new start and you could make it look fuller. It'll be amazing in the long run!
