My plant has chicken pox!
#Dracaena Help whatβs with the spots on my plant??
0ft to light, direct
6β pot with drainage
Last watered 11 months ago
This looks like a bacterial / fungal issue due to overwatering. You may want to re-pot it, rinsing the roots off well, using a soft toothbrush to remove all dirt, rinse the roots with some hydrogen peroxide, remove any mushy/brown roots, wash the pot and sterilize it (hydrogen peroxide rinse), then repot with all new soil. I would also treat the plant & soil with a fungicide. I hear great things in this community about Captain Jack's with Copper Sulfate.
Hey, Sara-Lynn.
Does you plant get direct light? Sometimes thay can get burned with little sun-spots.
These plants are also NOT fans of water with chemicals or water that's too hard or too soft.
These plants will tell the story of what they've been through on their leaves. You can see that mine has been through some stuff too: too much sun, not enough sun; too much water, not enough water; being lazy and using tap water. π€ͺ
It's survival of the fittest in this house and this cornstalk plant is a champ!
It's also battled thrips at one point, too. This plant has been hanging out in my house for the last five years.
If you have any questions, you can always tag me. (:
