Persian Shield leaves drooping and stems have gone soft. ...
I got a Persian Shield a few days ago. I was incorrectly informed that it is an indoor plant and doesn't require any sun. She was repotted by the nursery and given to me and I kept her in the shade indoors. She started drooping the very next day. The day after, her stems started getting soft at the ends. I did some googling to find out that she does require sun and I've kept her at the window now. But she looks so so sad and down, I don't know what to do. #persianshield

@BeatificViolet I'm so sorry about your lovely plant. It's true she would need bright indirect light, but she wouldn't go downhill that quickly from lack of light. It might be that she was shocked by being repotted, or she was exposed to a large change in temperature. I would tell the nursery too, because she deteriorated so quickly after being brought home. I agree with @mal9, work out what natural conditions are available in your house, then get a plant that thrives in those conditions. Most indoor plants are tropical, as is the Persian Shield, and they like warm and relatively humid conditions. Succulents and cacti tend to like warm and dryer conditions. Almost no-one likes cold, apart from plants who are hardy enough to grow outside in colder climates. Definitely don't give up after this sad experience, keep growing plants as much as possible!โฃ๏ธ๐ชด๐ชด๐ชด
@mal9 @LuxuryMint thank you for such kind responses but I think there might be hope yet! The photo in the post was from around 7 hours ago and this is what she looks like after being moved to window. What do you guys think?
(One particular branch seems to have perked up the most while the other three seem to be just hanging on. There are a few leaves that a little crispy. Should I get rid of them or leave her alone for a few more days to see how things go?)

@BeatificViolet wow that is brilliant news!! I wouldn't put her in direct sunlight while she is recovering, but bright indirect light would be fine. I would leave all the leaves for now, in a few days it will be obvious which ones have survived. I'm so pleased!! ๐๐๐๐ชด๐
@mal9 I had honestly lost all hope so I understand your initial reaction. She looked really sad back then.
The most commonly used soil here for plants is the red garden soil so i would assume my plant uses the same one. I tried looking it up but couldn't find anything concrete. It definitely doesn't feel like clay tho. I'm hoping the nursery knows what they're doing and that it'll be fine for Ryden. ๐ค๐ป
Hoping all the leaves will jump back soon @LuxuryMint!
Thank you both for your comments ๐
