Does anyone know what could be causing this yellow residu...

I got my Bloodleaf about a month ago, and I noticed the last few weeks that there’s this weird
yellow residue on the stems. It’s not on the soil and none of my other plants have it.

I’ve also noticed more and more holes appearing in the leaves. At first I thought it was sunburn, but it doesn’t have to scorch marks like my other plants. And the edges of some leaves are serrated, like they’ve been eaten away.

I’ve checked the bottom of the leaves and I can’t see any spiders, mites, caterpillars, etc. I’ve treated the soil with hydrogen peroxide to see if that kills anything off, but no luck so far. I also misted the stems with hydrogen peroxide hoping to kill the yellow stuff, but no luck there either.

I’ve got some fungus gnats around my other plants, but they’re not eating any of them other plants. So I’m a bit baffled by what could be causing these two things (yellow residue and holes), and if they’re related. Any ideas? πŸ€”

You might have some type of worm

If it's outside it could actually be pollen which will attach to "fuzzy stem" plants. Here's a Greg article about your plant. I'm interested because I'm receiving one soon.πŸ˜€

Have you found out what it is? Is it getting better?
