My pepper plant suddenly became sad and droopy, how do I ...

I usually give it water every night (that’s what works here in Texas weather) , but I went out of town for a day and didn’t water it. Now it’s all droopy, how do I save her? #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PepperomiaPod

Hi Karla welcome to Greg. What kind of pepper plant is it- jalapeΓ±o, serrano- or other? I live in central Texas and have a Seranno. I water it every day, thoroughly, letting water drain out the bottom. I use cactus/succulent soil and add perlite. Mine is in a pot with a trellis. Looking at your photo- the soil looks very rich and compact, which peppers don’t like. Good soil with added compost/perlite- to aerate the soil will help. Also, best time to water is in the morning. Sitting in wet soil overnight isn’t great. Peppers like heat- but once it gets around 3pm- you should provide shade as the sun is too hot and they will burn. I can’t tell what color the plant is but the photo is dark. I hope this helps
It’s a Serrano pepper plant
