Brown sits on leaves
2ft to light, indirect
4β pot with drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
@elisenavidad I think the soil stayed too wet and I got a fungus
@TheOddAsity any thoughts?? Iβm not familiar with this at allβ¦
@LiteratePurei so when did you last water this plant? And how much sun is it getting? And airflow?
@LiteratePurei @elisenavidad because the blight like spots on this Hoya are on the tips of the leaves, not near the petioles or stems, I donβt think this is just from over watering. This looks like stagnant humid air around the Hoya and it is either a powdery mildew/ mold or a necrotic spot type virus. If itβs the virus you have to get rid if the affected leaves. Change the soil, wash pots, tools, and anything used in repotting. And make sure there circulation and air flow. What does the whole plant look like right now, just to be sure?
@TheOddAsity she has some good leaves still. I put her in a new pot. Hoping for the best. Iβm going to put a small fan in there as well to help air flow
@LiteratePurei Hoya are epiphytes. So they love light, chunky, airy soil. The more chunky the better. Even moist perlite will work. Keep an eye to make sure no leaves come down with more spots. You definitely wouldnβt want this to spread. Good luck! Sheβs a beauty!
@TheOddAsity thanks! Ya I used my chunkiest mix to give her roots more air
