Fungus or Mold?

#RoughMaidenhairFern this guy is really testing me. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but the soil feels moist (I just watered a little) but I’m thinking there’s mold or fungus growing. Can anyone give me guidance?

I do not know what it is. Whether it's mold or not, it is almost soon kind of mycelium that is growing there, so I would just spray it with my trusty hydrogen peroxide and watch the bubble and fizz show. If your plant can take a bit of temporary acidity.

3% solution. Pharmacies should have it already in that concentration

Yikes, I would definitely move it away from your other plants for sure. I’ve had this happen with potting soil before. Generally what I do is repot the plant and wash the roots and cut off all the dead footage.
