@BlamelessClusia how often are you watering? Could be the soil is dry so there are no nutrients getting to the roots and in turn, it dries the leaves out and they droop or fade. These plants typically need water every 7 to 8 days. Iโd check if the soil is dry and water if it is. You might also consider moving back away from that window a bit. These plants shouldnโt be in direct sun. They do better in bright indirect sun. Key points about Japanese Laurel placement:
Avoid direct sunlight: Direct sunlight can cause the leaves to brown and wither.
Filtered light is ideal: Use sheer curtains or a similar barrier to diffuse the sunlight.
Near a window: Place your plant close to a window to access sufficient indirect light.
Cool area: Japanese Laurels prefer cooler temperatures, so consider a spot away from drafts and heat sources. I hope this helps!
