What is this?

Found this little ball in my baby rubber plant while watering today. I don’t think it’s from my potting mix as I’ve never seen one before. #Peperomia
2ft to light, direct
7” pot with drainage

Is it soft, hard? Are there any roots attached? How does it smell?
Hi Mac! That little ball is likely a soil pillbug, also known as a roly-poly or woodlouse. They're harmless decomposers that like moist, dark environments.
Since they're not harmful to your plant, you don't need to worry about them. However, if you want to remove them, you can try using a damp paper towel to pick them up and relocate them outdoors.
You can also try reducing the moisture in the soil by letting it dry out slightly between waterings.
Its a dry fert granule, probably.
to confirm, we are all talking about the yellow ball? That's a fertilizer ball. Very common in store-bought soil
