My lucky bamboo all of a sudden is starting to molding/ro...
@RealSimpleMama @BambooLover #luckybamboo What did i do wrong??π
@S.ham13 Ok thanks i will do that when I get back home.π‘
@UpfrontDisphyma No problem! Sounds great! Good luck!
@S.ham13 @ElatedAnchistea @RealSimpleMama Okay already did that but do you know why it molding like that? I mean I didn't put so much water after doing that process but you can look at the second photo to be sure.π€
@UpfrontDisphyma Iβd check with the water quality and make sure itβs only RO/filtered water. If the stones werenβt washed thoroughly Iβd do that, you can do bleach or hydrogen peroxide. And it also depends on how much light itβs getting, more light will mold more quickly.
@UpfrontDisphyma I agree with @RealSimpleMama about the rocks. Might consider getting a container that isnβt clear to see if it makes a significant difference:)
@UpfrontDisphyma Guess what I found on my Lucky Bamboo propagations!!! Same thing! Mold π I havenβt been the best with changing the water and thatβs all that they are in. Figured Iβd let you know youβre not alone π€
@RealSimpleMama The rocks have been washed with water and I filled it with purified water is that ok to use? I've also put the roots into the bottom.
@UpfrontDisphyma that all sounds good! Youβll still have to change out the water once a week or so, so keep an eye on it. π±βοΈβ€οΈ
@RealSimpleMama Ok thanks will do.
@RealSimpleMama But I'm also wondering is it okay to do it 3 weeks or do I have to do it at one week a few times just for the recovery of this lucky bamboo?π€¨
@UpfrontDisphyma I would always do it once a week. By three weeks there will be all kinds of film and junk on the top of the water, plus bacteria thatβll eat the roots and rot the plant, and it will have used up any nutrients in the water.
@RealSimpleMama Ok i understand.
