Black spots

I've been growing these for a month or two. The leaves still haven't opened, but they started getting these black spots on them. What are they, and how do I fix it?

Also, the seeds keep floating. Is that normal?

Spots might be fungal or smt. I think you should probably cut that one off.

Seeds floating is normal. The nature of water lily seeds is that they'll float somewhere downstream to invade territory.

Btw, water lilies should ideally get at least 4hrs of sun. You also seem to have a lot of circulation which would be an issue for the lilies. You'll want the water to be clear as well, so that the crown can get sufficient light and warmth. Flush the water by overflowing at least twice weekly.

Another thing. The stems look rather thin and sickly. That's a sign that you're overcrowding your lilies. Lilies should have nice, thick and plump stems. Remove from pot and separate any pups or plantlets. Lilies are better grown individually. The seeds should also be caught and grown in another container in a spot with warmth and sun.
Thank you. I'll have to re-home some. There were 38 plants in that bucket... I bought 50 seeds, but not all of them made it.
